We just closed on the building on Oct 28, 2016 and will spend the next few months preparing the building, interviewing for staff, and outfitting the recreation space. Folks interested in volunteering for preparation can sign up via email. We are aiming to open this winter. The Teen Center is at 1130 6th Ave.
The space is approx 3,500 sq feet of recreation and socializing space, with areas designated for group and quiet study, tutoring, and a small rehearsal space for musicians. Gaming tables and lounge areas with wifi access for hanging out. Food vending options will be available through For The Cause Kids Cafe, free of charge. Youth Action Board, comprised of high school students, and staff will work together to identify programmatic interests and needs of students. Will serve as a volunteer hub for students looking to engage in the community.
